If your Fire TV is showing content you haven’t watched in the Recently Watched section, the first thing to do is check if you’re watching other history. If you have a multi-user profile created on your Fire TV, you can be on someone else’s profile and view their viewing history instead of yours. It’s also possible that someone in your family hasn’t updated their profile while using Fire TV, causing their viewing history to show up on your website.

If you have more than one Fire TV registered to your Amazon account, viewing history and history will sync across all devices. So, if you’ve given away an old Fire TV Stick or Fire TV without signing out of your account, this could give someone access to your Amazon account. If you think this is the case, you can delete the Fire TV devices that you no longer use. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Amazon app on your phone.

  2. Click Account at the bottom.

  3. Select Content & Devices.

  4. Click the Tools tab at the top of the screen.

  5. Click Fire TV.

  6. Select the device and click Remove register.
