Tia Booth asked fans for prayers after Caroline Lunny was hospitalized with pneumonia. The two women met on season 22 of “The Bachelor” and became friends.
“Please say a prayer for @carolinelunny! She has been in the hospital with pneumonia since the wedding and is having surgery today. Lord, I lift Caroline up to you and pray that the doctors and nurses can figure out what is wrong so she can be healed as quickly as possible! In Jesus name, Amen,” Booth captioned a post on her Instagram Stories on November 15, 2023.
According to several fans on Reddit, Lunny choked on a hot dog at Booth’s wedding and aspirated it, causing the pneumonia. Lunny was told she would need a bronchoscopy, which allows doctors to examine the lungs more closely.
Lunny shared on her own Instagram Stories on November 16, 2023 that she didn’t end up having surgery after all.

After seeing Booth’s message on social media, Lunny reposted it and sent greetings to her pal.
“I love you @tiarachel91,” Lunny posted on her Instagram Stories on November 15, 2023, along with a brown heart emoji.
Lunny shared a positive update with fans after learning she would be fired. “I have good news and I have annoying news,” she said on her Instagram Stories. She wore a hospital gown as she filmed in her hospital room before packing her things to leave.
“There was no surgery today,” she continued. “What, honestly? I’m actually fine with it because I already have very vulnerable lungs,” she added. The worst thing seemed to be that Lunny couldn’t eat anything all day in anticipation of the operation, which never took place. Lunny saw the bright side and said it was okay because she could use “a little quick.”
Lunny made a pit stop at a local CVS to pick up some medications before her sister drove her home.
Fans reacted to Caroline Lunny’s hospitalization on Reddit
Shortly after Booth revealed that Lunny was in the hospital, several “Bachelor” fans reacted on Reddit. Most of the comments included congratulations for Lunny.
“That sounds frightening. As a child, I had double pneumonia and was almost hospitalized because of it. It was terrible and one of the reasons I was/am so cautious about Covid. There is nothing better than breathing and feeling the fluid trickle down your lungs without taking a full breath. I wish Caroline a speedy recovery and no further complications,” one comment said.
“Oh my God, Caroline. She’s been through so much over the last few years with her abusive, crazy stalker ex. She even needed a restraining order. I’m praying for her right now. This is very serious,” said another.
“I had never heard of aspiration pneumonia and I find it frightening. I wish her all the best for a speedy recovery,” a third Reddit user added.
