Leo is unstoppable at the box office and has been raising a lot of money since his arrival. Starring Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Arjun Sarja in the lead roles, the film has also posted a solid number on the board on day 4. Leo, being a Thursday release, enjoyed an extra week of 4 days. In the first three days, it collected 142 crores at the Indian box office. On day 4, the film is closing its run in the category of 42-44 million, as in the beginning. Again, this is a jump from Saturday’s 40 crores. However, growth has been limited, with a number of key factors causing concern.
Today, there was a Cricket World Cup match between India and New Zealand, which disrupted Leo’s business to some extent. Apart from that, as usual, more and more residents were seen in the night shows. This is what we call the Sunday curse, and it happens because Monday is a working day, and people don’t really like night shows.
Anyway, Leo is going 184-186 million (all languages) available at the Indian box office in the opening weekend, which is great. Please note that the exact number may vary here and there, but there will be no significant difference.
The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial will surely enter the 200-crore group on day 5. On Monday and Tuesday, the collections should be strong considering the Dussehra celebrations, and a big jump will be seen on day 6 due to the national holiday.
Meanwhile, Leo became Thalapathy Vijay’s highest grossing film in just three days. It surpassed Varisu’s 300.98 million biggest at the worldwide box office.
