Ahead of another weekend bonanza, Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3 saved the ship with good response on Friday. Fans now know that the film is heavily dependent on bookings as the pre-booking sales have yet to reach its peak. Scroll below to see the latest updates at the box office on day 6.
Maneesh Sharma directorial Tiger 3 had similar expectations since the previous two installments – Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai have been working at the box office. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif stars reunited, along with Emraan Hashmi is set to play the villain. The movie shows star interest with the addition of Shah Rukh Khan aka Pathaan, and Hrithik Roshan aka Kabir from War in a special appearance.
By the 5th day, Tiger 3 had the entire collection 188.25 million at the Indian box office. Advance booking collections today were a little low 59%. There’s no denying that it was a slow day at the box office, but bookings managed to bring in enough cash.
Just like its predecessors, Tiger 3 made moolah in the form of 12-14 crores at the box office on day 6. Collections will reach somewhere 200.25-202.25 crores. The important days of this week have passed, and here comes another event to enter the 200 crore club; as Salman Khan’s song goes… ‘slow motion mein!’
While the numbers are expected to increase over the weekend, Sunday will be yet another hurdle as the Cricket World Cup 2023 between India and Australia gets underway. The collections will also go down as the crowd will be busy cheering for the national team and will hopefully witness Rohit Sharma and the team bring home the trophy.
Something similar happened even in the semi-finals of India vs New Zealand, but the single-viewer helped the collection a lot, thus it became the final savior. Will history repeat itself? We will find out on November 19.
Tiger 3 was released on 12 November in IMAX and other premium formats. The film is the fifth installment in YRF’s spy universe after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan. This spy thriller also stars Revathi, Ranvir Shorey, Kumud Mishra, and others in important roles.
