Despite a surprise release on Sunday, arriving on Diwali day, which traditionally doesn’t attract big bucks, and the big World Cup game interrupting its run, Tiger 3 has been Salman Khan’s biggest yet. That’s right; despite all the discussions going on the film, it surpassed the likes of Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan – all of which earned collections of 300 crores – when it came to the first seven-day numbers.
Released last Sunday, the film entered the 200-crore club in six days and has now stretched its front. The film, will continue to perform inconsistently as its eighth day will be the lowest due to the final of the Ind Vs Aus World Cup 2023. The film is trying to fight against all odds, and undoubtedly, the collections have been hit hard.
In fact, it is easily 50 crore more than it would have been without the above and regardless of all the arguments surrounding the pros and cons.
Here’s how Salman Khan’s top 10 teams in the first seven days look like:
- Tiger 3 – 220.25 million
- Sultan – 208.82 million
- Tiger Zinda Hai – 206.04 million
- Bajrangi Bhaijaan – 184.62 million
- India – 167.6 million
- Prem Ratan Dhan Payo – 165.45 million
- kick- 164.21 million
- Race 3 – 144.5 million
- Ek Tha Tiger – 137.15 million
- Day 3 – 126.55 million
It is because of Salman Khan’s reputation that his films have been seeing high grosses continuously. It’s not like he hasn’t missed before. Both Bharat and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo had fizzled after a strong start, and so was Race 3.
However, he had reached a very respectable peak. The same will be true of the Tiger 3, too, which will continue to have unmatched speed. However, by the time Animal arrives on December 1, it will have done enough business to look respectable, if not a hit business.
