Family films often feature vegetable eating, children’s encouragement and strong and important messages about the virtues of kindness or the importance of self-control. However, the Trolls franchise deviates from this trend, offering an experience similar to engaging in M&Ms spiked with liquid LSD. Although the new film has a message (encouraging one to try, realizing that perfection is beyond), honestly, the characters, themes, and messages are just the basis for the brilliance and clarity of the story.

Trolls Band Movie Review: Script Analysis

The Trolls franchise is known for its high level of humor and humor, which appeals to its young audience as well as their parents. However, the third part of the franchise is the most popular among the trilogy.

In this film directed by Walt Dohrn and Tim Heitz, lessons about self-acceptance and avoiding perfectionism are woven together. However, the message fails to touch a perfect heart. The series lacks the necessary drama, the singers come across as silly, and the music lacks character to copy. However, there is ample opportunity to display psychedelic visuals accompanied by music, singing, and dancing.

Trolls 3 serves as an excuse to make jokes about the boys, with some dialogue being funnier than others – like “Bro bro goin’ solo, YOLO!!!” None of these moments, however, can be called old-fashioned fun.

However, the film revels in its unusual beauty and kind of candyfloss, trippy vibe. My stand-out moment takes place at a wedding ceremony where Bergen’s monster Bridget ties the knot, strutting down the aisle in a wedding dress made from white helium balloons – reminiscent of Björk’s stunning red carpet look. The balloons burst, revealing a beautiful trouser suit and skirt that rolled down the floor. This special event was very surprising. The sound is of old-fashioned fun, and the colorful musical production never fails to impress.

Trolls Band Together Movie Review: Star Performance

Former boy band star Justin Timberlake once again lends his charismatic voice, promoting the success of the Trolls World Tour. Although his performance as a voice actor in Branch is not well known, the way he plays his showbiz background is evident. On the other hand, Kenan Thompson, who portrays the tiny baby Tiny Diamond, does a great job.

Additional talents such as Anna Kendrick, Camila Cabello, Zooey Deschanel, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse provide excellent performances. In particular, among the newcomers, a special mention goes to Crimp (Zosia Mamet), the hard-working assistant of Velvet and Veneer, who manages her frustrations with a passionate rendition of Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5”.

Trolls Band Together Movie Review: Direction, Music

The Trolls 3 movie series surpasses its predecessor in the Trolls franchise. The director has put a lot of emphasis on visuals and well-crafted visuals, including a mix of 2D animations. However, the comedy hits the mark, and the tone of the fun feels a bit dated, meaning that Walt Dohrn and Tim Heitz can struggle with the lack of fresh ideas.

The film’s musical journey spans 50 years of pop culture. While the combination of familiar music and adult touches adds layering, it helps create a third-person impression. A jukebox of classic rock-along pop songs, including a boy band theme song, ensures the sound of the sounds presented in succession.

Trolls Band Movie Review: The Final Word

The film, at its best, is possible, drawing its strength from vivid colors, familiar characters, and a soundtrack full of jukebox hits. However, it has no lasting qualities that linger in your mind after it’s over. For adults, the joy comes mostly from seeing their children’s happiness as they sink into the brightly colored candies of the marshmallow world.
