Janhvi Kapoor has since made a name for herself in the industry by delivering some genuine accomplishments in the past. She made her Bollywood debut in 2018 and has come a long way since then. However, she is still attacked by trollers and is often derided as a product of nepotism. Recently she opened up about the same and bared her heart. Scroll down to read the details.
Janhvi, the daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and the late actress Sridevi, enjoys a huge following on social media. She is also known for her fashion choices. But as much as she is loved and adored by her fans, the actress also often falls under the radar of brutal trolling, and we don’t think it’s fair that the actress is constantly reminded that she’s a Nepo baby. The Mili actress recently opened up about the same thing and revealed how hurtful it is.
Janhvi Kapoor recently spoke to Harper’s Bazaar India and revealed how constant trolling is affecting her. She said: “It really hurts when you put in the hard work, sweat and blood or put yourself through the mental turmoil and a random, anonymous person on the internet says, ‘Acting nhi aati toh kyun karti ho, nepotism ki bacchi ?” It takes a whole second to reduce you to something insignificant. On the other hand, if someone says, “You did well in Mili, but you could do better in another film,” I respect that. You get to a point where you just have to acknowledge that some people are just sad — over Lacking a better word – and looking to take your happiness away.”
Janhvi Kapoor, who seemed quite disappointed that people don’t really respect her talent, added: “I also feel disadvantaged. In that sense, people aren’t going to come and see my films from a neutral perspective – they’re going to come in and say she got it easy in life, she’s privileged.” The actress feels they’re actually convincing audiences of that must that she has something to offer.
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor will next star alongside Varun Dhawan in Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal. The film is slated to hit theaters in April 2023.
Meanwhile, what do you think of Janhvi’s testimony? Is it fair to always judge her based on what’s on her plate? Let us know in the comment section below.
