ABC fans are worried about Barry Williams.
At 69, Barry Williams is the oldest contestant on season 32 of “Dancing With the Stars.”
Despite his age, Williams took on the challenge of learning ballroom dancing and enjoyed it. However, as the competition becomes smaller and the semi-finals approach, some fans are worried about Williams.
The “Brady Bunch” star is unable to perform some of the lifts and other advanced moves that his partner Peta Murgatroyd might otherwise have choreographed in his dances. But he does his best to learn and gives his best in rehearsals.

Fans hope Barry Williams doesn’t try too hard
Some fans have expressed concerns about Williams moving further forward in the competition. Although he appears to be keeping up with his professional partner, he is older than his competitors. As the weeks go by, the dances become more demanding and fans hope Williams doesn’t put too much strain on his body.
“Of course I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, but I do know that Barry is an old man. During last week’s pack, you could see his stamina struggling to keep up as the difficulty of the dances progressed. Am I probably just projecting? Yes. Still, I hope he doesn’t try too hard considering the competition is getting tougher,” wrote one Redditor, starting a new thread.
“My dad is almost 67 and doesn’t feel like mowing the lawn after two damn hours, so I can’t even imagine how Barry feels after daily rehearsals, especially two dances,” another added.
“I feel like sometimes people don’t notice because he looks ‘healthy’ and productive, but the man is 70!! There are many things that stop working like they used to or start going wrong with the body at this age. It’s impressive how well he dances,” said a third comment.
Barry Williams shared his feelings about being the oldest contestant in Season 32
Williams is having the time of his life on Dancing With the Stars — and fans love watching him, as evidenced by the votes he receives every week. However, Williams knows that he has limitations compared to the other actors. He discussed this during an interview with Market Watch.
“I’m not going to play the age card, but everyone I dance against is 30 years younger, even 50 in some cases. So that’s a challenge… I’m the oldest member, but I don’t want that to be the case.” I don’t want points added because it makes it a little harder for me to get around,” he told the outlet.
“What I do and what Peta does for me is find what suits my own style, my own expression, my own movement best, and then we play to those strengths.” And it may not be the up and down Jumping off and twisting or spinning around my neck and dips and tricks and things like that, but they’re things that suit my skill set,” he added.
