The DWTS contestants gave fans some great performances
The eight individual performances received numerous rave reviews from the “Dancing with the Stars” jury. However, there were also some criticisms, especially considering how far the celebrities are into season 32 at this point.
Lele Pons and Brandon Armstrong performed a salsa to Shakira’s “Whenever, Wherever.” The judges all had great feedback for the couple, especially Inaba. Hough said Pons managed to imitate Shakira. Her overall score was 33 out of 40, including a 9 from Inaba.
Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov danced the Cha Cha to “I’m a Slave 4 U” by Britney Spears. Tonioli was thrilled with the performance and Inaba said everything about the dance was “just right.” Abdul gave the couple a 10 and the other judges all gave it 9s, giving the couple an overall score of 37 out of 40.
Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold played jazz to the *NSYNC song “It’s Gonna Be Me.” The couple even had former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Lance Bass stop by to give practical instructions as they rehearsed their routine. Ultimately, the judges found some problems, although they generally enjoyed watching Jowsey’s performance. All four gave a grade of 6. The couple’s overall score was 24 out of 40.
Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach performed a jazz routine to “Take on Me” by a-ha. Karagach realized she had sprained her ankle last week, so Koko Iwasaki helped with rehearsals. Inaba admitted she wasn’t thrilled, and Hough felt the same way. Abdul raved about the dance and Tonioli also gave positive feedback. They received a score of 35 out of 40. Abdul gave the duo a 10 and Tonioli gave them a 9, while the other two rated the dance an 8.
Hannigan & Farber impressed the jury

Both Tonioli and Inaba also had high praise for Hannigan. The couple’s overall score was 33 out of 40, with Abdul giving them a 9.
Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy danced a jazz number to “Hollaback Girl” by Gwen Stefani. Abdul said they were the most provocative and surprising partnership this season. Inaba loved that they saw a darker and funkier Gomez. The couple scored 34 out of 40.
Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev performed a jazz routine to “All For You” by Janet Jackson. Hough noted that expectations are high at this stage of the competition. He praised Lawson but added that they wanted a little more precision. Abdul told Lawson that if she could develop her powers a bit more, she could be a leading candidate to win the Mirrorball trophy. The duo’s overall score was 32 out of 40.
Barry Williams and Peta Murgatroyd had the quickstep and used “I’m Still Standing” by Elton John. Hough pointed out some issues but shared that he loved watching Williams perform. Abdul agreed and told Williams he was a joy and joy to watch. The couple received 28 out of 40 points.
