BLACKPINK fans, aka BLINKs, can rejoice now that the members of the K-pop group have decided to continue as a group under YG Entertainment. The South Korean girl group consisting of Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa is currently one of the most popular groups in the world. Not as a band, but they have done well individually.

Their fans were left reeling when the band’s contract with the company ended a few months ago. There was speculation as to whether or not they would re-sign the contract, but luckily for fans, things turned out well. Keep scrolling to find out more about what the K-pop group is doing with YG.

Now, according to a report by Munhwa Ilbo, BLACKPINK will continue as a group under YG Entertainment, i.e., they will renew their contract with the company. The report also revealed that two members had already signed; however, the names were withheld. Although they will continue the work of the group, Jisoo, Rose, Jennie, and Lisa will not continue their work with the company.

A source from YG Entertainment regarding the BLACKPINK members’ contract renewal news said, “There is no confirmation; negotiations are ongoing.” The group’s contract expired in August this year after their BORN PINK world tour ended. The members will come together for group activities while continuing to perform their duties, including legal and other activities.

According to a CNBC report, YG Entertainment shares rose 3% today on November 20, after reports of BLACKPINK agreeing to renew their contract as a group.

Jisoo, Lisa, Rose, and Jennie are currently on cloud nine as their BLACKPINK secured their first win at the Billboard Music Awards during their PINK birthday tour. He received the Top K-Pop Touring Artist award. Their tour included 66 concerts in 34 cities in 22 countries around the world. YG Entertainment claims that approximately 2.11 million people watched it worldwide.
