One thing every camper needs is a good light source. Campfire light is romantic, but a good electric light is much brighter and faster to start. There is nothing worse than wandering around a dark campsite and trying to find a bathroom on a cloudy night.
There are many different options, but one of the best from Ryobi is the 18V ONE+ Hybrid LED Worklight. It can run using an extension cord or an 18V ONE+ battery. This little light doesn’t take up much space, but it packs an amazing amount of light. It provides 3,000 lumens, which is about the same as two 100W bulbs. That’s enough light to fill all the campsites and fit into a nearby row. It’s fine if you’re camping alone, but it can be a bit inconsiderate if you’re sharing a campsite with other campers.
Ryobi also has other lighting options, however. The 18V LED Compact Area Light only puts out 400 lumens, which isn’t even half as bright as you would get with a work light, but it has two big advantages. The first is that it illuminates 360 degrees instead of 180, and the second is that it is more stable on long trips because its battery lasts up to seven days. You just have to decide if you want light or longevity.
