Amazon released Alexa Voice Remote Pro in September 2022 as an add-on for Fire TV devices. Priced at $34.99, the remote is compatible with most Fire TV Sticks, Fire TV streaming devices, and Fire smart TVs. However, it is sold as a stand-alone accessory and does not come bundled with any products.
Alexa Voice Remote Pro has everything that Alexa Voice Remote offers but packs a few extra features. Most importantly, it has a remote feature. You’ll need an Alexa-enabled device like a smart speaker or the Alexa or Fire TV app on your phone to use it. Just say, “Alexa, find my remote,” and it will make a sound to help you find it, as long as it’s within 30-feet.
Alexa Voice Remote Pro also has a dedicated headset button that brings up the Bluetooth menu on your Fire TV Stick, allowing you to pair Bluetooth headphones or earbuds. Additionally, it has two customizable buttons that can be mapped to any app on your Fire TV Stick.
Another nice touch is the adjustable backlight, making the remote easy to use in a dark room. Alexa Voice Remote has over 9,200 reviews on Amazon, with an average of 4.5 stars. The Verge’s review says it’s “the best click you’ll get on a Fire TV display” but says it lacks the latest button found on the Fire TV Cube remote.
