The closest thing Ford fans have to a factory-powered 6×6 version of the F-150 Raptor is the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6, a custom-built monster truck.
The Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 was first revealed at the SEMA show in 2017 and is now in its third generation. The original boasted 605 horsepower and 622 lb-ft of torque, while the latest model produces 558 horsepower and 672 lb-ft of torque. All that power comes with a price, of course. The launch vehicle costs $349,000, including the optional F-150 Raptor, and since then, prices have risen to $399,950. No matter the generation, every VelociRaptor 6×6 boasts off-road upgrades to make it more rugged than the regular Raptor, including rear axles and a raised suspension.
The bed of the car is eight meters long, 2.5 meters longer than it is, and large 37-inch off-road tires complete the great look. Available from other Ford dealers and through Hennessey with a three-year/36,000-mile warranty, for peace of mind. That warranty won’t cover any damage that occurs when you use the car as a speeding missile in the desert, but it’s unlikely to stop owners from doing the same. After all, what’s the point of buying a solid six-wheeler if you’re just going to drive it on the road?
